Tattoo FAQ

Stick and Poke FAQ

How much do you charge?

Appointment minimum is $100 baseline, then $1/minute once the area has been prepped and the stencil has been placed. For example, a tattoo that takes 45 minutes would be $145. Most designs take about 30-60 minutes to complete. If you are getting more than one tattoo at a time, there is a $50 discount.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

Drink (water, not alcohol pls) and eat! Also, if you know where you want the tattoo, it’ll save us time if you shave the area beforehand.

How do I care for my new tattoo?

  1. Keep the Tegaderm bandage on your tattoo for 48 hours.

  2. After removing the bandage, gently wash the area with unscented soap at least once a day, and after any excessively sweaty activities. After washing, apply a thin layer of Vaseline or Aquaphor.

  3. For the first week, try to wear loose clothing, and do not swim or immerse your body in water (showers OK). Avoid direct sun exposure.

Do hand pokes hurt more than machine tattoos?

Typically, no. Hand poke tattoos are more gentle that machine tattoos.
